Northwest little Cayman

This dive site was submitted by Connor Davis.

The northwest section of Little Cayman is a flat shelf 100-200 yrds wide, 20 ft deep or less, leading to a bottomless vertical wall. This spot is famous among scuba divers but not much visited by freedivers. Swim to the wall and take whatever direction the current is running. It is the most impressive vertical terrain I’ve ever seen and easy to get to. Spearing is illegal, so there are good numbers of big and fairly tame fish. Vis 90-140 ft, Super easy diving to whatever depth you want. McCoys Lodge is the only place to stay on the north side, understands freedivers and has detailed maps of all the sites. It is worth a week of intensive diving. You can find some good descriptions of trips on Deeper Blue.

You can fly to Grand Cayman on Cayman Air and the puddle jumper to Little Cayman is almost free.
