Copper Cove freediving

A good safe diving spot for beginners. It doesn’t get too deep if you stick around the steep sloping bottom and the shallow wall to the right and there is a lot of small life hanging around. Crabs, krill, schools of small fish and so on. If you swim farther out the wall can get very deep. The shallow wall really is a pile of boulders that is fairly steep. The bottom slopes fairly steeply and contains gravel, and boulders. Most of the bigger life (greenling and lingcod) in this area is between 15 and 25 meters, but you will find ample life from 0-10 meters if you stick around the shallow wall to the right. You can park on Copper Cove road. The site has no facilities.
