Freediving Furry Creek

Furry Creek, also known as Olivers Landing is a freediving spot along the Sea to Sky highway. Freediving Furry Creek is a decent option if you are looking for spots that are easily accessible on the sea to sky highway, and you are getting tired of Porteau Cove, Whytecliffe, and Ansell Place.

From the beach, go about 200 meters north towards a little rock outcropping. The wall starts very close to the beach and reportedly gets deeper towards the north.

This is a decent Howe Sound wall but the visibility is often poor at the surface, making the wall very dark. This is probably due to sediment load from the Squamish River, so visibility is more likely to be best when the river is low in spring and bad during the months June – August. The wall contains plenty of spider crabs, some anemones, cloud sponges and so forth. There is mainly surface current, so dive around slack.
